I visited London in 2018, and after being crushed by crowds at Westminster Abbey, we went to the much lesser known Priory Church of St Bartholomew the Great. We paid 5 pounds to get in and we were completely alone. It is a beautiful old church and it was magical to experience it all by ourselves. I became interested in Instagram's contribution to overtourism, with people traveling the world to take the same photos in the same places. This body of work is in response. I wanted to stay local and photograph overlooked and unappreciated spaces.
